The Three Rivers Artists Guild is an organization of artists in the Three Rivers area of southwest Michigan, bringing art to our community, and community to our artists.
Our mission is to grow awareness and appreciation for the visual arts in our beautiful community through creating a network for local artists, and creating educational, inspirational, and exhibition opportunities in the Three Rivers area.
The Three Rivers Artists Guild is a group of area artists and their supporters, joining together in a local network of mutual support and inspiration, and through the Guild, making connections with the community at large.

History of the Guild: In 2009, meetings were held in the home of Larry Hackenberg and Becky Hackenberg to discuss the idea of an artists’ organization in Three Rivers. The Three Rivers Artists Guild was incorporated in 2019 as a State of Michigan nonprofit organization by Becky Hackenberg, Gail Walters, and Christine Hartzell. The Guild’s first Holiday Gallery in Downtown Three Rivers was held in 2009. Events such as Art in the Park and other art shows, events, and educational presentations have followed. In 2020 the Guild held a group show at the Carnegie Center for the Arts to celebrate a decade of Art in Three Rivers.
The Guild is a Board-run State of Michigan non-profit organization. Officers are elected at the Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors, held in October each year, with nominations from the membership. Elections of officers are staggered as described in the Guild’s Policies and Procedures.

Michigan nonprofit corporations are those formed in which members may not receive any profits of the corporation. The Three Rivers Artists Guild is a nonprofit corporation formed under the Michigan Nonprofit Corporation Act.
The Guild’s lighthouse logo, originally designed by Judith Brook, is based on the beloved miniature lighthouse in Scidmore Park near the confluence of the three rivers of Three Rivers (the Rocky, the Portage, and the St. Joseph) downtown Three Rivers. Current design by Lisa DeVine. The mnemonic acronym “3RivArt” was also coined by Judith Brook.
